Founder

Maryely Tejada

Maryely Tejada is the founder of The Papaya Tree. Her heart is to help parents find better options for feeding their children, and educate them on the importance of nutrition in the first 1,000 days of life. She is dedicated to making good quality foods available to ALL parents.

She understands that not every parent has access to nutritious, and good quality foods. That is why The Papaya Tree was founded, to help feed hungry children in her community.

A Bit of History

The Papaya Tree started along with Ollipop Baby Food. When Maryely Tejada started the company, she always knew that she wanted to give back to her local community and she wanted ALL parents to have the same opportunity for good quality food for their children.

Moreover, with The Papaya Tree, she wanted to put the best resources right in parents hands by educating them about the best foods for early development. Her vision was to start programs through the non-profit organization that would help educate parents and children on the importance of nutrition in the first 1000 days of life, give healthier food options to inner-city children, show the value in local agriculture, and help create and sustain local gardens.

Through The Papaya Tree, she wants to be able to raise revenue to help start and fund these different programs.
